Charitable contributions are on the rise for the fourth straight year according to Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy ‘s Giving USA Report. In 2013, contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations totaled $335 billion, up 3% from 2012 figures. Total giving has increased 22% since the official end of the recession in 2009. While corporate gifts were slightly down in 2013, donations of $80 million or more accounted for 1.3% of total giving.
